My Trip to the Bay of Angels in Nice
Aug,08,2025

It was my first time visiting Nice, and I was so excited. The Bay of Angels, or "Baie des Anges," is one of the most famous places in the city. I had heard so much about its beauty, and now, I was finally standing there, looking out at the wide, blue Mediterranean Sea. The sky was clear, and the sun was shining brightly. The first thing that struck me was how calm everything felt. The sea stretched far into the horizon, and the waves gently rolled onto the beach. The sound of the water was peaceful and relaxing.

Walking Along the Promenade

After I arrived at the Bay of Angels, I decided to walk along the famous Promenade des Anglais. The promenade runs along the beach, and it is lined with palm trees and benches. I could see many people walking, jogging, or cycling along the path. Some were relaxing on the benches, enjoying the warm sun. Others were taking pictures of the sea and the surrounding area. I found it a great place to take a leisurely walk and enjoy the view. I could see the beautiful Mediterranean Sea on one side, and on the other side, there were old buildings with colorful facades. The architecture was amazing.

Relaxing on the Beach

I couldn’t resist the invitation of the warm sand, so I decided to spend some time on the beach. The sand felt soft beneath my feet, and the sea breeze was cool and refreshing. There were people swimming, some even playing volleyball, and children were building sandcastles. The beach was not crowded, which made it even more enjoyable. I lay down on the sand and let the sun warm my skin while I listened to the gentle sound of the waves. It was so relaxing.

Visiting the Old Town

After spending some time at the beach, I decided to explore the Old Town of Nice, or Vieux Nice. The streets here were narrow and winding. The buildings were colorful, with flowers hanging from the windows. It felt like I was stepping back in time. I walked along the streets, passing small shops selling local products. I could smell fresh pastries coming from a bakery, and the scent of flowers filled the air. I stopped at a small café and had a coffee while watching people pass by. It was a nice moment to take in the surroundings and appreciate the charm of the Old Town.

Exploring the Castle Hill

Not far from the Bay of Angels, there is a hill called Castle Hill, or Colline du Château. I heard that it offers the best view of Nice and the surrounding areas. I decided to walk up the hill, and though it was a bit tiring, it was worth it. The path was surrounded by trees and plants, and I could see the city below getting smaller and smaller as I climbed higher. When I finally reached the top, I was amazed by the view. The Bay of Angels looked even more beautiful from up there. I could see the clear blue water, the sandy beach, and the colorful buildings lining the shore. The view took my breath away. It was a great place to take photos and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the busy city.

Eating Local Food

No trip to Nice would be complete without trying some local food. After spending time at the beach and walking around the town, I was hungry. I found a small restaurant in the Old Town that served typical Nice dishes. I ordered a "Socca," which is a thin, savory pancake made from chickpea flour. It was crispy and delicious. I also tried "Pissaladière," a type of pizza with onions, anchovies, and olives. The food was simple but full of flavor. I enjoyed every bite and felt satisfied.

Taking a Boat Ride

On the second day of my trip, I wanted to experience the Bay of Angels from the sea. I decided to take a boat ride. The boat was small and comfortable, and it took me along the coastline. The view of the bay from the boat was different from what I saw on land. The water was a beautiful shade of blue, and I could see the rocky hills that surround the bay. The boat ride was peaceful, and I felt the fresh sea breeze on my face. I could also see other boats and yachts on the water, making the scene feel lively and full of life.

Shopping in Nice

After the boat ride, I walked around the city to do some shopping. Nice is known for its markets and shops, so I was excited to see what I could find. The shops were full of beautiful things, from clothes to jewelry to local crafts. I visited a market where I bought some souvenirs. There were many colorful stalls selling handmade items like soap, candles, and pottery. The vendors were friendly and offered me samples of their products. I bought a small ceramic dish as a memory of my trip. The shopping experience in Nice was fun and allowed me to take home a little piece of the city.

Enjoying the Sunset

As my trip to Nice was coming to an end, I wanted to see one last beautiful moment. I decided to return to the Bay of Angels to watch the sunset. I found a quiet spot on the beach and sat down. The sky began to change color, turning shades of pink, orange, and purple. The sun slowly set behind the hills, and the water sparkled in the fading light. It was a magical sight, and I felt lucky to be there. The sunset over the Bay of Angels was the perfect way to end my trip. I could not have asked for a better experience.
