- My Adventure in Komodo National Park
- Oct,01,2025
I arrived at Komodo National Park feeling excited and curious. I had heard a lot about the famous Komodo dragons and the beautiful landscapes of the park. The journey to get there was long but worth it. I took a small boat from Labuan Bajo, a town on the island of Flores. The boat ride was peaceful, and I could see the blue water and green islands all around me. I knew that this was going to be a special experience.
Once I reached Komodo Island, I was ready to explore. The first thing I noticed was how quiet and calm it was. The air was fresh, and the sounds of nature filled the space. I joined a small group of tourists and our guide. The guide told us that Komodo Island is home to one of the world's most famous animals, the Komodo dragon. I was excited to see one up close.
We walked along a dirt path, and soon, I saw a large Komodo dragon resting under a tree. It was much bigger than I had imagined. The dragon had rough, scaly skin and a long tail. I stood quietly, not wanting to disturb it. The guide told us not to get too close, as these creatures can be dangerous. I could feel my heart race, knowing I was seeing a real Komodo dragon in its natural habitat.

After seeing the dragons, our group continued our hike up a small hill. The guide told us that there was a viewpoint at the top where we could see the whole island. As we climbed, I looked around at the landscape. The ground was dry and dusty, but there were also some green areas with bushes and small trees. It was very different from the forests I was used to. The hike was a bit tiring, but it was worth it.
When we reached the top, I was amazed by the view. I could see the whole island and the water around it. The blue sea and the green hills made a beautiful picture. I took a deep breath and enjoyed the moment. The silence at the top was peaceful, and I could see the nearby islands too. It was one of the best views I had ever seen.

After the hike, we went down to the beach. Komodo Island has some of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. The sand was soft and white, and the water was crystal clear. The beach was quiet, with only a few other tourists. It was a perfect place to relax. I took off my shoes and walked along the shore. The warm water felt nice on my feet.
I decided to go for a swim. The water was cool and refreshing. I could see fish swimming around me, and the water was so clear that I could see the colorful coral beneath me. I stayed in the water for a long time, enjoying the calmness and beauty of the beach.
After relaxing on the beach, I joined a snorkeling trip. We took a small boat to another spot in the park. The water here was even clearer, and I could see the colorful fish and coral. I put on my snorkeling mask and dove into the water. Below me, there were schools of fish swimming in the bright blue water. I saw orange, yellow, and blue fish moving between the coral. The coral was alive with color, and I felt like I was in another world.
The guide pointed out different types of fish and sea creatures. I saw sea turtles swimming slowly, and I even saw a small shark from a distance. It was exciting to be so close to these creatures in their natural environment. The underwater world of Komodo was just as beautiful as the land.

During my trip, I also had the chance to meet some of the local people. On Komodo Island, there are a few villages where people live. They are known for their simple lifestyle and close connection with nature. I visited one of the villages and met some of the villagers. They were kind and friendly, and they told me about their daily lives. Many of them fish for a living and use traditional methods to catch fish. They also take care of the land and animals around them.
The villagers seemed happy with their simple lives. They welcomed us with smiles and offered us fresh fruit. It was interesting to see how they lived so close to nature and the animals in the park.
As I spent more time in the park, I saw more of the island's beauty. The hills, the trees, the beaches, and the animals all made Komodo National Park a special place. The park is a protected area, and the animals here are safe. The Komodo dragons, the colorful fish, the sea turtles, and the birds are all part of this unique ecosystem. The guide explained that it is important to protect these animals and their habitat.
I also saw other animals during my time in the park. There were wild pigs running through the bushes, and I saw some deer grazing in the distance. The birds were loud and colorful, flying through the trees. I felt lucky to be able to see all of these animals in their natural environment.

I got to see amazing wildlife, meet the local people, and enjoy the natural beauty of the park. It was an adventure that I will always remember.
